My yoga journey began when I was 20 working in London and I instantly fell in love. It was the first form of exercise that I felt a proper connection with and looked forward to doing. Over the years my practice became more frequent and when I discovered hot yoga 10 years ago I knew I had found my path.
I soon learned yoga was so much more than a physical practice and I was able to develop a sense of peace and mindfulness which has changed my whole attitude to life. Without yoga balancing the mind body and soul I would not have been able to face the many challenges and obstacles I’ve faced.
I have been teaching regularly now for over 5 years and have built up a strong following in Harpenden.
In my classes I love to combine creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help you deepen your practice.
Firstly I am a very lucky mummy to three gorgeous girls. Life is busy and my yoga practice keeps me sane (well, most of the time!).
I am also a keen runner and road cyclist. I was originally attracted to yoga for fitness and to improve my flexibility but I quickly learned that yoga kept me more grounded as well as giving me a great release for my tight runners legs! I teach a dynamic style of Hatha yoga that is alignment-based, creative and deeply informed by my perinatal teaching; both healing and restorative. I place a strong emphasis on correct alignment and personal assists to help each student get the most out of each class.
I have been practising yoga since 1998 and qualified with my Yoga Alliance teaching accreditation in March 2011. I am a registered Experienced Yoga Alliance Professional Teacher, with over 3000 hours of teaching experience.
